Prof. Dr. Dimitris Kiritsis (Kyritsis) is Faculty Member at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the School of Engineering of EPFL, Switzerland, where he is leading a research group on ICT for Sustainable Manufacturing. He serves also as Director of the doctoral Program of EPFL on Robotics, Control and Intelligent Systems (EDRS). His research interests are Closed Loop Lifecycle Management, IoT, Semantic Technologies and Data Analytics for Engineering Applications. He served also as Guest Professor at the IMS Center of the University of Cincinnati, and Invited Professor at the University of Technology of Compiègne, the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard and at ParisTech ENSAM Paris. Prof. Kiritsis is actively involved in EU research programs in the area of Factories of the Future and Enabling ICT for Sustainable Manufacturing. He has more than 220 publications. Since September 2013 Dimitris is Chair of IFIP WG5.7 – Advanced Production Management Systems. From 2013 to 2017 he was member of the Advisory Group of the European Council on Leadership on Enabling Industrial Technologies – AG LEIT-NMBP. He is also founding fellow member of the International Society for Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM), of various international scientific communities in his area of interests including EFFRA and among the initiators of the IOF (Industrial Ontologies Foundry).

 

Noah has 15 years experience in industry with over 10 years in analytics, particularly in the areas of industrial manufacturing and heavy asset management. Riding the wave of digitalization programs since 2012, Noah has been driving a transformation from “reactive stats-gathering” to “proactive partnerships” in the field of data science. Noah is currently a Manager in the newly developed Data Science Center of Excellence at Tetra Pak where he is building partnerships with business and making business impact, daily. He is a leader in the next wave of data science in manufacturing and invigorated by the prospects for industrial companies that are embracing the cultural changes and making the long term investment necessary to truly go digital.

Previously he held positions as a Lead Data Scientist at Think Big Analytics, a Teradata Company and Principle Expert Engineer at Siemens Wind Power where he implemented a novel, data-driven approach for quantifying the risks that drove the sales of long term service programs from the ground up, now with an order backlog of ten-billion-euros.

 

V R Vijay Anand, Head of Digital Machining at Sandvik Coromant is globally responsible for the portfolio of digital offers. He has held several strategic business and technology roles in his rich professional career. Vijay has a recognized in-depth experience of building an organization for and driving digital transformation, not only in the manufacturing industry but also across industries like energy, healthcare, utilities and retail. Cross-pollinating learnings and experiences across different industries and cultivation of innovations has been a key passion for Vijay throughout this professional career. He is recognized as a digital thought leader and regularly features in international conferences and has been part of policy/standards committees.
