Ellie heads R&D at Arundo Analytics. Ellie has 15 years experience building data-driven solutions in complex equipment settings. She is a particle physicist by training, having worked as part of the Higgs discovery team at CERN. She has worked for the past decade for software companies in variety of industries, but with the focus on the application of advanced analytics and digitalisation to engineering disciplines. Ellie has a MPhys in Physics from Oxford University and a DPhil in Elementary Particle Physics from Oxford University.

As Industry Manager for the Industrial Automation & Machinery industry in Europe, Philipp Wallner is responsible for driving the business development of this industry segment that comprises energy production, automation components and production machines.

Prior to joining MathWorks, Philipp worked in the machine builder industry where he held different technical and management positions, e.g. at B&R Industrial Automation and ThyssenKrupp.

He has a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Graz University of Technology and an Executive MBA in Project and Process Management from Salzburg Management & Business School.

In addition, Philipp Wallner is engaged in shaping MathWorks’ offering for Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT workflows based on MATLAB and Simulink in close collaboration with the headquarters.
